If you are new to the club and interested in joining I would strongly suggest joining our email list, which is on the right sidebar. The email list is the Texas Cycling’s primary source of communication, and will tell you what is going on within the club.

During the first couple of weeks of the Fall semester we will have an info booth set up in front of Gregory Gymnasium, so please feel free to stop by and get more information about Texas Cycling.

Our first info session/meeting for the Fall 2010 semester will be after Party on the Plaza which is on Wednesday, September 1, 2010.

2009 Here We Come!

Texas Cycling is sprinting into 2009 and looking forward to a very successful road racing season. We just had our annual training camp in Leakey, TX January 12-15, which was overwhelmingly successful and got everyone excited about the season ahead. We even had one of our riders place in the top 10 in the first road race of the year this past weekend in Copperas Cove!

First Meeting and Upcoming Rides!

First off, thanks to everyone who was able to join us at our first meeting! If you weren’t able to attend or had any questions about anything we talked about, feel free to email us with any questions!

We have a few upcoming rides that we hope you’ll be able to join us on! All rides leave from in front of Gregory Gym.

-Thursday, September 4th we’ll be riding out to the local criterium race. Groups will leave at 4:30 and 5:30. It’s an easy ride out there, and it’s a lot of fun to watch the races (or try them), so come check that out!

-Friday, September 5th we’ll have our weekly Shoal Creek Ride. We’ll meet at Gregory at 5:00 and do a few laps of Shoal Creek. This is another fairly easy and beginner-friendly ride, so come try it out!

We’ll have at least two weekend rides this weekend, as well. For more info on those, as well as future meetings and rides, please join our email list by filling out the form on this page to the right.

Friday Shoal Creek Shootout

Join the UT Cycling team this Friday (8/29) for the team’s oldest and most popular ride, the Shoal Creek Shootout! After a yearlong hiatus, it’s back!

We meet at Gregory Gym at 5:00 on Fridays, and head North on Shoal Creek for about one hour of riding. It’s a great social and beginner ride, and is perfect for any new people looking to meet other members and find out more about the team!

UT Cycling Recruitment and Informational Session

UT Cycling will be tabling in front of Gregory Gym from August 27th-September 2nd from 10-3 each day. If you’re interested in joining the team, or just want to get some more information, stop by then to talk to current members and ask any questions you might have. We’ll also be at Party on the Plaza on September 3rd.

Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at 8:00PM in the Gregory Gym Games Room. Just come in the front doors to Gregory, and we’ll have someone there to point you to the correct room.

If you’d like to join us on rides before the first meeting, consider joining our listserv, by filling out the form to the right. We send out all rides and meeting announcements on it.

Whether you’re new to UT this Fall or Summer, or just new to UT Cycling, we welcome every to learn more about us! More info about the team, how to join, benefits, etc, can be found on our about page. If these don’t answer your questions, or you’d like more information, feel free to contact us! Also, if you plan to be in Austin over the Summer, let us know and we can probably get you set up to ride with some current team members.

Finally, we’ll be having an information table during the first week of class, as well as information session. More information will be available about these as they approach.

Collegiate Nationals TTT

UT Cycling raced to an 11th place finish in the Women’s National TTT event, and the Men weren’t far behind with a 12th-ranked finish!

Congratulations to both teams, and keep up the great work!
